Professional Services Consultant
Journyx is looking to fill a key consulting position in our professional services group. Experience deploying enterprise software, database systems or web technologies is required. The ability to interact with customers at all levels as well as formal implementation methodology experience and the ability to deliver are mandatory. Applicants should also possess a willingness to travel, a proven track record of successful implementations and a strong academic record.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates for this position must meet the following minimum requirements.
- Experience in implementation of vendor software-based solutions at
customer sites as a consultant or vendor representative, preferably
working with internet infrastructure/integration products
- Software installation and configuration and customization expertise
- Exceptional customer interaction skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently or as a project team member
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Strong understanding of solution deployment methodology and process
- Programming Experience
- Programming experience in two of the following languages: Python,
Java, JSP, SQL, .NET
- Knowledgeable of relational databases (Oracle and SQL)
- Minimum Education
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
- Technical expertise through progressive experience in professional
services
Job Responsibilities
This position is comprised of the following duties.
- Work with the customer staff to align the deployment with business
objectives, scope professional services to assist customers with their
successful deployments, develop statements of work and deployment
project plans
- Participate in and manage the installation and configuration of the
system, sometimes performing all roles themselves depending upon the
size of the project
- Perform the installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting
of the Company products at customer sites
- Manage product and customer issues with the customer and with Company
development and product management groups
- Gather customer requirements and align customer goals with product
technology throughout deployment
- Install, configure, and deploy software at client sites
- Contribute to the knowledge base through writing implementation
methodology tools, customer deployment reports, and contributing
expertise to the development of professional services offerings
- Develop and maintain training materials for users and new customer
training
- Train new users and answer questions of existing customers about our
products
