Leading Project Management Portal Partners with Journyx to Offer New Online Service
Free version of Journyx Timesheet ASP service now available to PMForum members
AUSTIN, Texas, USA — October 11, 2000 — Journyx, the marketshare leader in web-based applications for managing a distributed workforce, today announced a strategic alliance with PMForum, a global project management community, to provide a free online time, expense and project tracking service powered by Journyx Timesheet technology. The service is being offered as a benefit to the project management professionals who frequent the online community.
"With the globalization of the modern workforce, today's project management professionals are demonstrating an increased demand for tools that aid them in this new challenge," said David Curling, Webmaster of PMForum. "By offering Journyx free to our patrons, we are able to provide them with exactly that, an application that allows them and their employees to complete expense reports, timesheets and update project status from anywhere."
Referred to as "Road Warriors" on PMForum, the project management professionals can now automate their workforce management activities by signing up for the new service onsite. Users are able to enter time and expenses for billing, project management, and payroll from ANY location in the world. In addition to the benefits of automation and mobility, users are relieved of the application maintenance and upgrade management, as software hosting is provided by the portal alliances. The service is free for up to 10 users per dedicated workgroup.
"We are pleased to partner with PMForum to bring Journyx Timesheet technology to more individuals in the project management community," Curt Finch, CEO of Journyx, explained, "It is an industry that has expressed a need for the type of solutions that we provide and, because of that need, one that is quick to adopt a successful application that improves the workflow process."
