Journyx Announces Expanded Time & Attendance Capabilities for Hourly Workers

Enhanced ADP Integration extends lead in Employee Relationship Management Sector

AUSTIN, Texas, USA, May 8, 2002 - Journyx today announced it has released the Journyx Pay Rule Engine (PRE), which contains a number of features necessary to extend Employee Relationship Management across the entire workforce. Historically companies have been required to have two different solutions for time collection - one for their professional/salaried workers, and one for the hourly workforce. Even worse, companies have had to deploy and support multiple, incompatible integrations between their payroll vendors (such as ADP) and their labor data collection programs (such as Journyx).

"Journyx is pleased to achieve yet another industry first by addressing the needs of all groups of employees - professional, hourly, shop-floor, remote, and temporary &emdash; through the introduction of our ADP-compliant Pay Rule Engine, explained Curt Finch, Journyx CEO. "Given the current economic climate, we expect that many firms will be greatly pleased to be able to reduce the number of vendors required to support their workers, and will continue to standardize on Journyx products and solutions."

Some of the key features of the Journyx PRE include:

  • Ability to seamlessly export time or expenses to ADP and other payroll services on a per-pay group basis
  • Support for multiple pay groups, including hourly, monthly or yearly
  • Support of multiple overtime (OT) calculation methods, by pay group, including
    • 8 Hour Day 40 Hour Week
    • 10 Hour Day 40 Hour Week
    • 10 Hour Day 40 Hour Week California
    • 8 Hour Day 40 Hour Week California
    • 8 Hour Day 80 Hours in 2 Weeks
    • 8 Hour Day 40 Hour Week Drop OT
  • Ability for department splits including OT spreading on a daily or weekly basis

The Journyx Pay Rules Engine is designed to work with ADP Payroll solutions, and can also be integrated with the offerings from other major payroll vendors.
