Why is my project management screen slow to load when I am logged in as an Administrator and viewing all projects?
By default, the Project Management screen (click on the Projects icon) is set to show all time records that have been logged against each project. These records are presented in the Actual Hours column. If you have been using Timesheet for years and have a lot of time records in your system, the screen may be taking a while to load all of these records. You can disable the Actual Hours column for faster viewing by clicking on Global Preferences on the main Admin screen. Under Global Preferences, click on Project Management and set the "Show totals for time records?" setting under the heading Extra Data to No. Disabling the Actual Hours column will speed up the load time of the Project Management screen significantly, and you are free to re-enable the setting any time you want to view the Actual Hours column for projects.
How do I schedule a particular report to run automatically on a regular basis?
You can schedule any existing report with an anchored date setting to run automatically at a particular time. On the main Report screen, click on the Scheduled Reports link. The drop-down list for report selection will include all existing reports, canned and custom-built, that have anchored date settings*. Once you have selected the report, you have options to set the output format, report description, schedule timeframe (one-time, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly by day and monthly by date), day/date specifics and time of day to run the report. Scheduled report results appear under View Saved Reports on the main Report screen. If you do not modify the output or schedule settings from one run to the next, the scheduled report will overwrite the previous period's output each time it runs.
* Free-floating reports cannot be scheduled to run automatically because they require you to enter a date range in order to run.
