Their Story

Highmark Companies, a professional services firm with offices in North Carolina and Virginia, needed a time-tracking system that was capable of handling semi-monthly pay periods (that didn’t require user workarounds) and had an intuitive user interface. They also wanted their time-tracking system to have Highmark corporate branding and interface seamlessly with Quickbooks. The system they were using didn’t do any of these things – it was time for a change.

An extensive evaluation of many time-tracking systems led them to Journyx Timesheet because of its flexibility, configurability, ease of use, advanced interface to Quickbooks, ability to brand the system to Highmark, and its ability to do both timekeeping and expense submittals within the same system.

Solution

Highmark Companies now uses Timesheet for timekeeping and time tracking of 75 employees, consultants, and subcontractors. These employees charge their time, materials, and fixed price projects for federal, state and local government clients, as well as commercial clients. Timesheet integrates with Quickbooks to facilitate payroll, payment of consultants and subcontractors, and invoicing of clients. The additional information provided in Journyx and Quickbooks is used to give project managers greater detail and more timely information about the projects they manage.
