NFHA Saves Thousands in Overhead Costs Using Journyx

Tracking time manually with an Excel spreadsheet became an overwhelming and time consuming task for the NFHA staff. NFHA Vice President of Finance Angela Oehlerking reviewed the different product offerings in the marketplace and determined that Journyx has the features that NFHA needs, including cost centers, notes, comments, the ability to pull reports with specific criteria or within certain dates, and the ability to drop the data into an Excel spreadsheet if necessary.
NFHA uses Timesheet for time tracking and project management, and imports the data into their accounting system for use in payroll, billing and invoicing.
“Journyx really makes tracking time and doing payroll much more manageable,” says Oehlerking. “The software allows staff to enter time either at the office or on the road. Accounting can import monthly information for entry into the general ledger. Any department can pull data by date, user and cost center as needed. Department managers can review and approve their staff’s time with Timesheet’s approval process.”
Oehlerking says that most of the savings they’ve seen from Timesheet have been related to the time required to gather and process the data. “We know that Timesheet provides thorough information and the reporting and importing processes are easy to manage. This time-saving is reflected in the cost of our overhead. We are probably saving ½ person in accounting (or about $25,000). Therefore, we can now get other tasks and duties done in a timelier manner.”
