Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions (PHS), one of the nation’s largest health system-dedicated consulting entities, is saving valuable time, reducing the risk of human error, and increasing consultant productivity by using Journyx Timesheet. With the process improvements Journyx Timesheet provides, PHS now has a totally automated payroll process.

Journyx Timesheet is a web-based time and expense management solution that enables organizations to automate time and expense data collection for project controls, customer invoicing, and payroll processing.In late 2007, PHS approached Journyx with an interest in replacing a homegrown Microsoft Excel-based system for time tracking. “Our previous manual spreadsheet time entry and tracking system was cumbersome and required constant maintenance,” said Seth McKean, an analyst for PHS. “Additionally, it didn’t link directly to our payroll or finance systems, which we really needed.”

Solution

PHS business needs included a system that could capture time to support client project billing and also track employee leave. “After receiving some recommendations for Journyx Timesheet, we viewed the system and felt it was a good fit for our needs,” McKean pointed out. “We also researched the market and determined that Journyx Timesheet is as good or better than other available products.”

“We use Journyx Timesheet for our employee time tracking. We directly feed those hours to human resources for payroll processing for about 50% of our staff that are non-exempt. We provide time, expense and revenue data to our finance department for billing and cost reporting. We use the accrual module to track and report employee time-off. All data within Journyx is used for internal reporting purposes. Journyx Timesheet is currently used by 90-100 employees on more than 1,000 projects, both billable and non-billable.”
