In late 2007, PHS approached Journyx with an interest in replacing a homegrown Microsoft Excel-based system for time tracking. “Our previous manual spreadsheet time entry and tracking system was cumbersome and required constant maintenance,” said Seth McKean, an analyst for PHS. “Additionally, it didn’t link directly to our payroll or finance systems, which we really needed.”

“We use Journyx Timesheet for our employee time tracking. We directly feed those hours to human resources for payroll processing for about 50% of our staff that are non-exempt. We provide time, expense and revenue data to our finance department for billing and cost reporting. We use the accrual module to track and report employee time-off. All data within Journyx is used for internal reporting purposes. Journyx Timesheet is currently used by 90-100 employees on more than 1,000 projects, both billable and non-billable.”
